1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in The X-Bot Games – The Ultimate AI Showdown (“the Event”). By registering for or participating in the Event, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not participate.
2. Eligibility
- Open worldwide except where prohibited by law.
- Participants (“X-ecutors”) must be at least 18 years old, or 13+ with verifiable parental or guardian consent if local law permits.
- Entrants are responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and any applicable platform rules (e.g. Discord terms of service).
3. Registration & Fees
- Registration is via the official website: x-botgames.com.
- Entry passes or fees (if applicable) must be paid in full before participation is confirmed.
- All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or if the Event is cancelled by the organiser.
4. Event Structure & Timelines
- The Event consists of multiple categories and challenges, which may be live-streamed, showcased online, or otherwise conducted at the organiser’s discretion.
- Official start and end dates for each challenge will be published on the Event website.
- All submissions must be received before the published deadline. Late submissions may not be accepted.
- The organiser may amend dates, formats, or delivery methods as necessary. Updates will be communicated through official channels.
5. Judging & Results
- Judging criteria and processes will be published with each challenge. These may include creativity, originality, technical execution, or other factors as determined by the organiser.
- Some events may incorporate public participation (e.g. voting) alongside organiser-appointed judges.
- The organiser reserves full discretion to determine, amend, or clarify judging processes as required.
- Decisions made under the published rules are final.
6. Prizes
- Prize details (if any) will be confirmed and published for each specific challenge.
- Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash unless stated otherwise.
- Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or compliance obligations.
- The organiser may substitute or amend prizes at its discretion where necessary.
7. Conduct
- Participants must act respectfully towards organisers, judges, ambassadors, other participants, sponsors, and the audience.
- Offensive, discriminatory, unlawful, or disruptive behaviour will result in disqualification.
- All submissions must be the participant’s own authentic work. Copying or misrepresentation may result in removal.
- The organiser may use moderation tools or community guidelines to maintain safety and fairness.
8. Intellectual Property
- Participants retain ownership of intellectual property in their submissions.
- By entering, participants grant the organiser a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute their submission for the purpose of promoting or reporting on the Event.
- Where used for promotional purposes, the organiser will provide reasonable credit where practicable.
- Any use outside the scope of the Event requires the participant’s prior consent.
9. Liability
- Participation in The X-Bot Games is at your own risk.
- The organiser is not liable for technical issues, interruptions, or losses arising from participation, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or injury where such exclusion would be unlawful.
10. Amendments
The organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on the Event website and apply from the date of publication.
11. Governing Law & Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be resolved under New Zealand law, subject to applicable consumer protections.
